Eligibility Requirements
Eligible Criteria:
The purpose of this RFP is to fund charities with confirmed tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 in the District of Columbia that improve educational opportunities for at-risk youth in the DC Metro Area. This can be approached in a variety of programs and actions, but because the target community of this RFP is the District of Columbia, we are limiting the eligibility of applicants to only applicants that serve communities within the DC Metro Area. The applicant organization must have a governing Board of Directors and an Executive Director who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization. Applicants must be in good financial standing and must have the appropriate organizational capabilities to receive and administer public grant funds.
Examples of Eligible Projects:
Youth development initiatives may include but are not limited to:
● After school programs that fosters positive youth development
● Mentorship opportunities to at-risk youth (grades Pre K-12)
